Power Star Srinivasan to play a Ghost in Pattanathil Bootham remake

Powerstar Srinivasan, who has his own league of fan following now, seems to be bagging some interesting line up of movies, post his Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya stint.

After playing hero in the films produced by him, he started getting offers from other banners and movies and one among them is Shankar’s I, in which he is said to be playing Rajinikanth’s Endhiran role as Chitti Robot.

He is also doing films like Onbathula Guru, Azhagan Azhagi, Naaluperum Rommbaa Nallavanga, and Summa Nachinu Irukku. Now the latest buzz is that he will be playing a Ghost in an upcoming project.

News has it that Powerstar would be playing the role of the Ghost who emerges from a Jar in the remake of the 1967 film Patinathil Bhootham.
Producer Thenappan said, “Yes, we’re mulling over remaking this film with Power Star. We’re currently in talks with K S Manikandan, the director of KLTA, and Crazy Mohan to start work on it.”

Power Star’s manager confirmed it, and further said that Shiva and Santhanam might also be part of the film. We hear that the subject would be tweaked a bit to suit the audience of today. Reports suggest that Power Star is interested in playing the role.

Director Manikandan however denied on working on this remake and sais, “I am working on a fresh script and will decide on the cast only after it is done.”
